Mikrobiella biofilmer bildar komplexa arkitekturer på interfaser och utvecklas till mycket skala beroende rumsliga mönster. Här introducerar vi ett experimentellt system (hård-och programvara) för automatiserad förvärv av 3D optisk konsekvens tomografi (OCT) DataSet. Denna verktygslåda möjliggör icke-invasiv och flerskalig karakterisering av biofilm morfogenes i tid och rum.
