Overholdelse af internationale standarder og opretholdelse af retinale mørke tilpasning er afgørende for at erhverve gyldige full-field elektroretinogram svar i diagnosticering og forvaltning af arvelige retinale sygdomme. En praktisk protokol ved hjælp af en bærbar mørkekammer er fastsat for at opnå full-field elektroretinogram til spædbørn og børn under sedation eller generel anæstesi i operationsstuen indstilling.
