De distinkte effektene av ulike grader av hypotermi på myokardbeskyttelse har ikke blitt grundig evaluert. Målet med den nåværende studien var å kvantifisere nivåene av celledød etter forskjellige hypotermibehandlinger i en human kardiomyocyttbasert modell, og legge grunnlaget for fremtidig grundig molekylær forskning.
