Her præsenterer vi en protokol til at etablere en ny rottemodel for aktiv hiv-infektion ved hjælp af kimær HIV (EcoHIV), som er afgørende for at forbedre vores forståelse af HIV-1 virale reservoirer i hjernen og tilbyde et system til at studere HIV-associerede neurokognitive lidelser og tilknyttede comorbiditeter (dvs. stofmisbrug).
