Lukking av åpent foramen ovale (PFO) er et kateterbasert inngrep for å forebygge PFO-assosiert hjerneslag. PFO-okklusjonsenheten føres gjennom femoralvenen og distribueres over det interatriale septum ved hjelp av transesophageal ekkokardiografi (TEE) og fluoroskopisk veiledning.
