Foi desenvolvido um método utilizando frutas verdes de café (GFs) para testar a toxicidade de inseticidas contra o borer de café (CBB). Inseticidas ou substâncias tóxicas foram aplicadas a GFs desinfetados antes ou depois da infestação da CBB. Foram avaliadas a mortalidade, a repelência e a capacidade reprodutiva dos insetos, além de outros parâmetros.
