Amani Alghalayini Department of Biology and Biotechnology, school Life of Sciences UTS Biography Publications Institution JoVE Articles Amani Alghalayini Amani Alghalayini is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in the Biology and Biotechnology Department at the School of Life Sciences and ARC IDEAL Research Hub node at the University of Technology Sydney (UTS). She completed her Bachelor's and Master's degree in biomedical science. She received her PhD in biology and biotechnology field from the University of Technology Sydney in 2020, under the supervision of Prof Stella Valenzuela, on an industry-led project with partner Surgical Diagnostics. Her PhD research focused development of a novel biosensor using a tethered membrane platform for direct cellular measurements.Dr Alghalayini's has more than ten years of professional experience in biochemistry, molecular biology and biophysics, specifically in cell biology and biophysics techniques. Amani's research is focused on developing new diagnostic tools and biosensors, creating translating academic research to create revolutionary biomedical technologies to solve current real-world problems.
