Andreas Hutzler Department Name Institution Name Biography Publications Institution JoVE Articles Andreas Hutzler Andreas Hutzler is a post-doctoral fellow at Electron Devices (LEB) in the department of Electrical, Electronic and Communication Engineering of the Friedrich-Alexander-University Erlangen-Nürnberg (FAU). He studied electrical engineering and received his Bachelor’s and Master’s degree from the FAU in 2011 and 2014 and worked as research assistant at the Fraunhofer Institute for Integrated Systems and Device Technology (FhG IISB) from 2011 to 2014. In 2018 he obtained his Ph.D. degree from the FAU. The Ph.D. work was conducted within the framework of the research training group GRK 1896 “In situ microscopy with electrons, X-rays and scanning probes”. In his doctoral thesis he developed new liquid cell architectures and investigated dynamic growth and degradation processes of complex nanostructures in liquid media utilizing liquid cell transmission electron microscopy (LCTEM).His scientific interests include semiconductor technology, transmission electron microscopy, 2D materials, optical spectroscopy and complex metallic nanostructures. He currently works on new methods for determining the number of layers of 2D materials by optical microspectroscopy.
