Dominik Munz Chair of Inorganic and General Chemistry Friedrich-Alexander-University (FAU) Erlangen-Nürnberg Biography Publications Institution JoVE Articles Dominik Munz Dominik is junior group leader at the chair of inorganic and general chemistry at the Friedrich-Alexander-University (FAU) Erlangen-Nürnberg. He performed his undergraduate studes at the TU Dresden in Dresden/Germany and ENSC Rennes in Rennes/France. After obtaining his Ph.D. at the TU Dresden working with Thomas Strassner, he obtained further training as a postdoctoral fellow with T. Brent Gunnoe at the University of Virginia in Charlottesville and with Guy Bertrand at UC San Diego. Dominik’s research interests encompass inorganic, organometallic and organic chemistry, catalysis, molecular modelling and spectroscopy. He has a passion for reaction mechanisms and reactive intermediates and would love to discover a new catalytic process or organic material relevant for a greener and more sustainable future.
