Kristof Vandael Clinical Psychological Science Maastricht University Biography Publications Institution JoVE Articles Kristof Vandael Kristof Vandael received his master’s degree in Clinical and Health psychology in 2016 at KU Leuven. From 2016-2018 he was part of the EU Horizon 2020 project ACCOMPLISSH at Ghent University, which investigated co-creation between researchers and societal stakeholders as a means of increasing the impact of research within the Social Sciences and Humanities. Currently he is a PhD candidate at Maastricht University on the NWO vidi project “When the good gets bad…and sticks! Understanding and challenging (the spreading of) pain-related avoidance behavior” supervised by Dr. Ann Meulders. He studies the role of factors such as positive affect and accuracy of perceptual information in attenuating the spread of pain-related avoidance behavior using an associative learning perspective.
