De groeiende incidentie van resistente Candida albicans is wereldwijd een ernstig gezondheidsprobleem. Antimicrobiële fotodynamische therapie (aPDT) kan een strategie bieden om resistente schimmelinfecties te bestrijden. Het huidige protocol beschrijft rose bengal-gemedieerde aPDT werkzaamheid op een multiresistente C. albicans stam in vitro.
