In this video, we describe a surgical procedure to implant a temperature telemetric device  in a mouse model to continuously measure its core body temperature.

Protocol

All procedures involving animal models have been reviewed by the local institutional animal care committee and the JoVE veterinary review board 1. Surgical Implantation of the Telemetric Temperature Monitoring System Upon arrival from the vendor, allow the animals to rest in the vivarium for at least 1 week prior to surgery to minimize the stress of transportation.
