Eenvoudige technieken worden beschreven voor de snelle productie van microfabricated neurale cultuur systemen met behulp van een digitale microspiegeltjes voor dynamische masker projectie lithografie op regelmatige celcultuur substraten. Deze cultuur systemen kunnen meer representatief zijn voor natuurlijke biologische architectuur, en de beschreven technieken kan worden aangepast voor tal van toepassingen.
