En spesifikk og sensitiv metode for å få innsikt i uttrykket profilen glykosphingolipid antigener i immun organer og celler er beskrevet. Metoden utnytter ion felle massespektrometri tillater trinnvis fragmentering av glykosphingolipid molekyler for strukturell analyse i forhold til kjemisk syntetiserte standarder.
