De toepassing van matrix-geassisteerde laser desorptie / ionisatie vluchttijd (MALDI-TOF) massaspectrometrie (MS) rechtstreeks bloed kweekbouillon versnelt de identificatie van bacteriën. De onderhavige methode is een snelle en betrouwbare methode voor de identificatie van Gram-negatieve bacteriën direct uit bloed kweekbouillon.
