Protocatechuate 3, 4-dioxygenase (PCD) kan enzymatisch vrij diatomaire zuurstof verwijderen uit een watersysteem met behulp van de substraat protocatechuïnezuur zuur (PCA). Dit protocol beschrijft de expressie, zuivering, en activiteit analyse van deze enzym voor het opruimen van zuurstof.
