Wir beschreiben Techniken zur Differenzierungsinduktion von zwei Brustepithellinien, HC11 und EpH4. Während beide fetales Kalbsserum, Insulin und Prolaktin benötigen, um Milchproteine zu produzieren, können sich EpH4-Zellen in der dreidimensionalen Kultur vollständig in Mammosphären differenzieren. Diese komplementären Modelle sind nützlich für Signaltransduktionsstudien der Differenzierung und Neoplasie.
