Denne smågrisemodel involverer kirurgisk instrumentering, kvælning indtil hjertestop, genoplivning og observation efter genoplivning. Modellen giver mulighed for flere prøver pr. dyr, og ved at bruge kontinuerlig invasiv arterielt blodtryk, EKG og ikke-invasiv hjerteoutputovervågning giver den viden om hæmodynamik og hjertepatofysiologi ved perinatal asfyksi og neonatal kardiopulmonal genoplivning.
