Sorzano is a scientist of the Natl. Center of Biotechnology (CSIC). He is accredited as Full Professor of Signal and Communication theory, and his training is as an electrical engineer and mathematician. He is currently one of the two PIs of the Biocomputing Unit. His research group develops image processing algorithms for Structural Biology using Electron Microscopy.
