Een efficiënte methode om in hoge mate gezuiverd levensvatbare meiotische fracties te verkrijgen van de muis testis wordt beschreven, die een combinatie van een verfijnde cel dissociatie protocol met TL-geactiveerde cel sortering (FACS). Deze methode maakt gebruik van verschillen in het DNA-gehalte en de nucleaire dichtheid van discrete meiotische fracties.
