Een methode wordt beschreven voor de menselijke retinoblastoom tumoren verspreiden in muizen. Tumorcellen worden rechtstreeks geïnjecteerd in de ogen van het immuunsysteem van deficiënte muizen. Secundaire tumoren zijn met succes gebruik van beide cellen direct geoogst van menselijke tumoren en beschaafde tumorspheres.
