Intensieve voorbereiding van intacte cerebrale endotheelbuizen van muizen uit cerebrale parenchymale arteriolen wordt geïllustreerd voor het bestuderen van cerebrale bloedstroomregulatie. Verder demonstreren we de experimentele sterke punten van dit endotheelstudiemodel voor fluorescentiebeeldvorming en elektrofysiologische meting van belangrijke cellulaire signaalroutes, inclusief veranderingen in intracellulaire [Ca2 +] en membraanpotentiaal.
