HornfeldtUndergraduate student Jacob Hornfeldt is an undergraduate student at the University of Florida who is majoring in entomology and nematology. During his time at the university he has worked in several labs on different projects ranging from moth collections to endangered butterflies, and now ants. His experiences in these labs has created a broad interest in insects and insect ecology and using that as a lens to explore conservation, but he also started to become interested in science communication and using insects as a way to get people excited to learn about science. He hopes to continue on to graduate school after finishing undergrad.
