Hyperbranched poligliserol (HPG) ile kırmızı kan hücrelerinin hücre zarı modifikasyonu (eritrositler) sunulmuştur. Modifiye RBCs sulu iki faz bölümleme, osmotik frajilitesi ve kompleman aracılı lizis ile karakterize edildi. Yüzey proteinleri ve antijenlerin kamuflaj akım sitometri ve Mikro Yazma Sistemi (MTS) kan fenotipleme kartları kullanılarak değerlendirilmiştir.
