Een snelle bacteriële pellet bereiding van een positieve bloedkweek kan worden gebruikt als een monster voor toepassingen zoals identificatie door MALDI-TOF, Gram-kleuring, antibiotica gevoeligheidstesten en PCR-gebaseerde test. De resultaten kunnen snel worden meegedeeld aan artsen om de uitkomst van patiënten die lijden aan infecties in het bloed te verbeteren.
