يصف هذا البروتوكول تطبيق التصوير المقطعي جنبا إلى جنب الفلورسنت الأشعة تحت الحمراء القريبة (NIRF) التصوير والجزئي حسابها (microCT) لتصور thromboemboli الدماغي. هذا الأسلوب يسمح للتقدير حجم عبء الجلطة والتطور. تقنية التصوير NIRF يتصور fluorescently المسمى خثرة في الدماغ المستأصل، في حين أن تقنية microCT يتصور خثرة داخل الحيوانات الحية باستخدام الذهب النانوية.
