Hochfrequenzoszillationen (HFO) wurden als präoperative Biomarker für die Identifizierung der epileptogenen Zone bei pädiatrischen Patienten mit medizinisch refraktärer Epilepsie entwickelt. Eine Methode für die nicht-invasive Erfassung, Erkennung und Lokalisierung von HFO bei gleichzeitiger Kopfhaut Elektroenzephalographie (EEG) und Magnetoenzephalographie (MEG) wird vorgestellt.
