Makropinocytose er en stærkt bevaret endocytisk proces initieret ved dannelsen af F-actinrige arklignende membranfremspring, også kendt som membranflæser. Øget hastighed af makropinocytotisk solind internalisering har været impliceret i forskellige patologiske tilstande. Denne protokol præsenterer en metode til at kvantificere membranflæsedannelse in vitro ved hjælp af scanningselektronmikroskopi.
