Dit protocol beschrijft de studie van neutrofiel-biofilm interacties. Staphylococcus aureus biofilms worden in vitro vastgesteld en geïncubeerd met perifere bloed-afgeleide menselijke neutrofielen. De oxidatieve burst-respons van neutrofielen wordt gekwantificeerd en de neutrofiellokalisatie in de biofilm wordt bepaald door microscopie.
