In this video, we demonstrate the implantation of human-derived prostate cancer tissue grafts into the renal capsule of an immunocompromised recipient mouse. This technique can be used to assess tumor progression and develop novel therapeutic strategies.
Protocol
All procedures involving animal models have been reviewed by the local institutional animal care committee and the JoVE veterinary review board. 1. Surgical Procedure: Renal Capsule Xenografting Prior to induction of anesthesia, observe the mouse to ensure health and wellbeing.
