We beschrijven de procedures voor de voorbereiding en elektrofysiologische opname van de hersenen plakken dat de dorsale-ventrale as van de mediale entorhinale cortex (MEC) te handhaven. Omdat neurale codering van de locatie volgt een rug-buik organisatie binnen de MEC, deze procedures te vergemakkelijken onderzoek van cellulaire mechanismen van belang voor de navigatie en het geheugen.
