Her vi beskriver en metode for å rense intakt chloroplasts fra Arabidopsis blader og deres tre viktigste sub avdelinger (konvolutt, stroma og thylakoids), en kombinasjon av differensial centrifugations, kontinuerlig Percoll graderinger, og usammenhengende sukrose graderinger. Metoden er nyttig for subplastidial og subcellular lokalisering av proteiner av immunoblotting og Proteomikk.
