טומוגרפיה אופטית קוהרנטית (אוקטובר), טכנולוגיה הדמיה תלת-ממדית, שימש כדי לפקח, לאפיין את קינטיקה גידול של הגידול multicellular spheroids. כימות הנפחי מדויק של גידול spheroids באמצעות voxel של סופרים ושל הרקמה המתה ללא תווית זיהוי spheroids מבוסס על ניגוד מהותי הנחתה אופטי, היו הדגים.
