Een snelle, robuuste manier van isoleren levensvatbare volwassen epitheliale stamcellen uit menselijke huid is beschreven. De methode maakt gebruik van enzymatische afbraak van de huid collageen matrix, gevolgd door het plukken van de haarfollikels en isolatie van single cell suspensies of weefsel fragmenten voor celkweek.
