Een<em> In vitro</em> Methode om na te bootsen<em> In vivo</em> Epitheliale differentiatie beschreven. Veel virussen richten op epitheliale cellen als onderdeel van hun virale levenscyclus, en deze methode biedt de mogelijkheid te onderzoeken virus: gastheer interacties die meer lijkt op dat die zich voordoet<em> In vivo</em>. Deze techniek kan gebruikt worden met primaire keratinocyten gevestigde cellijnen, alsmede normale of zieke biopsieweefsel.
