En enkel metode er beskrevet for å analysere effekter av vev fibroblaster på tilknyttede epitelceller. Kombinasjonen av denne metoden og tre-dimensjonale vevskultur kan lette analysen av cellene etter isolasjon fra 3D. Teknikken er aktuelt å celler med varierende malignt potensial, slik systematisk studie av effekten av tumor-assosierte stroma på kreftcellene.
