Kvaliteten på mus embryonale fibroblaster (MEFs) er diktert av rett stamme av mus som CF-1. Pluripotency-støttende MEFs og klimaanlegg media (CM) hentet fra disse bør inneholde optimale konsentrasjoner av activin A, Gremlin og Tgfβ1 nødvendig for activin / Nodal og FGF veier til samarbeide opprettholde selvfornyelse og pluripotency.
