Homolog rekombination tekniker avancera kraftigt<em> Drosophila</em> Genetik genom att möjliggöra skapandet av molekylärt exakta mutationer. Den nyligen antagna recombineering gör att man kan manipulera stora bitar av DNA och omvandla dem till<em> Drosophila</em<sup> 6</sup>.
