Vestibulaire Schwannomas (VSS) niet-maligne tumoren van Schwann-cellen (SC) oorsprong, geassocieerd met mutaties in het NF2 tumor suppressor gen. Wij rapporteren een reproduceerbare, efficiënt protocol voor primaire menselijke VS celcultuur die het mogelijk maakt voor moleculaire en cellulaire experimentele manipulatie en analyse en recapituleert de heterogene aard van de ziekte bij de mens.
