En modul för enda plan belysning mikroskopi (SPIM) beskrivs som lätt anpassas till en inverterad brett fält mikroskop och optimerad för 3-dimensionella cellkulturer. Provet är beläget inom en rektangulär kapillär, och via ett mikrofluidsystem fluorescerande färgämnen kan farmaceutiska medel eller läkemedel tillämpas i små mängder.
