Vi beskriver brugen af optogenetics og elektrofysiologiske optagelser til selektiv manipulationer af hippocampus theta svingninger (5-10 Hz) i opfører mus. Effekten af rytme medrivning overvåges ved hjælp af lokale felt potentiale. En kombination af opto- og en hæmning adresser den efferente udlæsning af hippocampus synkronisering.
