Efferocytosis, de fagocytische verwijdering van apoptotic cellen, is nodig om de homeostase te handhaven en wordt vergemakkelijkt door de receptoren en signaalroutes waarmee voor de erkenning, de engulfment, en de internalisering van de apoptotic cellen. Hierin presenteren wij een fluorescentie microscopie protocol voor de kwantificering van efferocytosis en de activiteit van efferocytic signaalroutes.
