Aqui, descrevemos um protocolo detalhado descrevendo uma fluorescente nova técnica para detecção de proteínas totais em gel de poliacrilamida de coloração. O protocolo utiliza uma sonda de excitante prata íon-específicos de fluorescência, que detecta Ag+-complexos de proteínas e elimina determinadas limitações de manchas de prata cromogênica tradicionais.
