للتحقق ما إذا كانت الآثار ثلاثية التوائم علي الأداء المعرفي تنطوي علي نشاط الإكراه القسري ، يتم تقديم بروتوكولين التي تهدف إلى تقييم العلاقات المحتملة بين الأداء والتغييرات حجم التلميذ المرتبطة بالمهمة الناجمة عن المضغ. ويمكن تطبيق هذه البروتوكولات علي الظروف التي يشتبه فيها في المساهمة القسرية.
