Das Ziel dieser Methode ist es, die CR1-Dichte in den Erythrozyten eines jeden Probanden zu bestimmen, indem man mit drei Probanden vergleicht, deren Erythrozyten-CR1-Dichte bekannt ist. Die Methode verwendet Durchflusszytometrie nach Immunfärbung der Erythrozyten der Probanden durch einen monoklonalen Anti-CR1-Antikörper, der mit einem verstärkten System mit Phycoerythrin (PE) gekoppelt ist.
