Patientenbasierte Xenograft-Modelle (PDX) und transplantierbare gentechnisch veränderte Mausmodelle rekapitulieren menschliche Krankheiten originalgetreu und sind bevorzugte Modelle für die grundlegende und translationale Brustkrebsforschung. Hier wird eine Methode beschrieben, Brusttumorfragmente orthotopisch in das Brustfettpolster zu transplantieren, um die Tumorbiologie zu untersuchen und die Arzneimittelreaktion zu bewerten.
