Gepresenteerd is een methode voor luchtinflatie met vasculaire perfusie-fixatie van de longen die de locatie van cellen in luchtwegen, longblaasjes en interstitium behoudt voor structuur-functieanalyses. Constante luchtwegdruk wordt gehandhaafd met een luchtinflatiekamer, terwijl fixatief wordt toegediend via de rechter ventrikel. Longen worden verwerkt voor histologische studies.
