Dit methodologieartikel presenteert een softwarematig kwantitatief meetprotocol om histologische subchondrale botdikte in muriene artrosekniegewrichten en normale kniegewrichten als controles te kwantificeren. Dit protocol is zeer gevoelig voor subtiele verdikking en is geschikt voor het detecteren van vroege artrose subchondrale botveranderingen.
