מחקר זה מדווח על גישה חדשנית למדידת פרמטרים תפקודיים מיטוכונדריאליים מרובים המבוססים על ציטומטריה של זרימה והכתמה כפולה עם שני מדווחים פלואורסצנטיים או נוגדנים כדי לזהות שינויים בנפח המיטוכונדריה, פוטנציאל קרום המיטוכונדריה, רמת מיני חמצן תגובתי, הרכב שרשרת הנשימה המיטוכונדריאלית ודנ"א מיטוכונדריאלי.
