Tot op heden wordt de ontwikkeling van bijschildklier (PG) identificatiemethoden beperkt door het gebrek aan diermodellen in preklinisch onderzoek. Hier stellen we een eenvoudig en effectief rattenmodel op voor intraoperatieve PG-beeldvorming en evalueren we de effectiviteit ervan door ijzeroxidenanodeeltjes te gebruiken als een nieuw PG-contrastmiddel.
